Have you ever felt like to tour around Machu Picchu? Well, did you know that dozen's of tourist are turned down from the government to never tour that place again, due to the damage that it has caused over the years. This has concluded to unhappy tourist.

Plastic Bags?? Never eard of them!!

In New Zealand we have this well known supermarket named Countdown. It is know for their great deals and discounts, and for awesome food. Also recently they have finally made a step closer into helping our country become plastic free, by getting rid of all their plastic shopping bags and replace them with reusable shopping bags, that you can use over and over and over again.

Today I have been assigned to ask one of my family members about what they think about this.

We can't just depend on fossil fuels now

Have you ever been to MC Donald's? Or are you a fan of Nike? If so I think it is obvious that you have heard these before: "Just do it" or "Im lovin' it" if you are not yet heard of those phrases yet, have you been living under a rock?? Nahhhh, Im just joking.

But is you are not yet aware of those phrases, well, they ain't really called phrases they are actually called slogans. A slogan is a short saying to advertise something.

here are the two examples that have just been said:




Well, today I have been assigned to Imagine, that you have been hired by Forest & Bird New Zealand to work on one of their campaigns. It is your job to come up with a catchy slogan for the campaign.

The campaign that I have decided to chose is "End fossil fuels". Down below I have decided what I wanted my slogan to be:

" We can't just depend on fossil fuels now"

The thing I like about this slogan is that it is like a story, but just very very short. To me I think that we have a lot of advanced technology nowadays, and surely there could be some that could replace the use of fossil fuels, what do you think comment down below.

I believe I can fly!!!!!!

Have you ever been to Rotorua New Zealand? Because I have, well specifically to the luge and zip lines. Today I am going to be talking to you today about how I would feel if I went down the zip line

While walking high above the ground, on a wooden bridge, I look upon such a beautiful sight. The tree's flow like hair, birds sing like angels, and people had the brightest smiles on their faces. 
While I was waiting in line I was watching everyone put on their tight gears, clip onto the lines, and glide down the zip line with joy, but deep down in side I feel like the cord was just going to break and then they would fall.

When there was only 1 more person before me, I look behind me to see if there was anymore people, but, there wasn't, so I stood there, frozen, speechless, and scared. The lady had finally jumped off like a frog and soared like an eagle. I was last person to go and I was scared to dear life. I told them to say "1, 2, 3" before they pushed me off, but, the worker said "1" "2" and pushed me off (well that's what I thought). I held onto the zip line for dear life and sweated a storm, I yelled, and yelled, and yelled, and closed my eyes but little did I know was that I was still on the platform, and they all looked at me as if I was crazy.

When I had finally calmed down, he then decides to push me off, and then the episode restarts. I held onto the zip line, wrapping my legs around the zip line too, as I was looking down at the ground that looked like it was 10,000 kilometres away from me but really it was only a few meters away from me. While I am still in the air I slowly calm down and look up at the beautiful view. I saw all of the beautiful forest and saw all the beautiful animals within the bush, and I realise that I was scared for no reason, maybe if I just worried about the views than the height maybe I wouldn't had been so frightened.

Once I am a few meters away from the ending, I hopped and wished that I was never scared at the beginning because I could have seen much more if I just left my eyes on the fantastic views. When I am finally back onto the ground/platform I am sad because I didn't see most of it, but at least I will know for next time to worry about the view not the height.

Have you ever worn plastic bags, news paper, or cans as clothing? Well, today I am going to a fashion show, but there's a twist, it is a fashion show where they wear recyclable clothing., eg, News paper dress, can jumpsuit, plastic hat, etc.

After or maybe before the show I am going to be interviewing Dame Suzie Moncrieff about her mojor success in fashion.

Have you ever worried about your environment? Because today here is one way that causes global warming. Air pollution. Today I am going to share with you three new facts that I learnt about air pollution on this video, and share them with you on this poster. 

I encourage you to be aware of your surroundings so that we can decrease global warming or maybe even prevent it.




What I found challenging: What I found challenging through the process of making this was finding out the facts and trying to put them into my own words, because on the original video she used these really weird words that I completely never heard of before so I had to research what they meant.

What I found easy: What I found easy through the process of making this was nothing because I always got distracted and it was really time consuming.

The Seven Sisters . . . . . . .

Today I assigned to write a short summary of the book. What was it about? Try to summarise the story in 6-8 sentences.

Basically like a book review.

So here is my book review:

So this story is about a a man named Mitai and his brothers. Mitai's brothers were very self conscious and cared enormously about their looks.

One day they heard voices of angels so they followed it up onto a hill , and it led them to 7 stunning wahine, and every brother fell in love besides Mitai.

The brothers then treated the wahine as if they queens and didn't want to disappoint them. The brothers cared so much about the wahine they forgot to look after themselves, and Mitai's curiosity starts to increase.

One day when the brothers had returned early from gathering kaimoana the wahine had disappeared, so Mitai decides to go out to the eldest brothers house to look for the wahine. When he gets there he sees 6 birds sitting outside on the tree and sees another fly out of the house. They then turn into wahine and start talking about their plan about starving the brothers to death so Mitai flew back to the village to warn them.

When he gets back he has a conversation with the brothers and koroua about what they were going to do to get rid of them, and koroua had handed them special nets to capture them with and then throw them the farthest away from this earth.

So the brothers go out on the search for the wahine. As the wahine came out of the house each brother caught them and had taken them to Uru-te-nga-nga (god of the stars) and asked her to throw them to them away to the farthest Heavens, and so she did.

And every year Uru-te-nga-nga gives them a chance to shine in a special occasion called Matariki.

What I found challenging: What I found challenging through the process of making this was just writing the book review in general.

What I found easy: What I found easy through the process of making this was nothing, for me it was completely hard, but I do recommend this book to any ages because it is a fantastic book.

What is an acrostic poem?
And acrostic poem is when you use one main word eg:
