code.org

What my poster shows up above is my completed my levels and I have earned my certificate.

For the passed few weeks Whaea Tania is teaching room 4 more and more about coding. While I was playing
around with this website, I then cam to realize that we had to use a limited amount of blocks to achieve or pass the
chosen level. I found this quite challenging, but I like challenges.

 What I have learnt
through the activity of coding, nearly all websites, apps, and even companies a ran by the power of coding.
For example, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, youtube, etc. By learning how to code on code.org
this could lead to many opportunities in the future, such as engineering, creating websites, produce robots, and
so much more.

What have you learnt?

Today I will be displaying to you what I have learnt throughout the passed week.

Tuesday, 16 October 2018

Today, Whaea Tania taught room 4 how fast and efficient you should be searching on the internet.

For example:
Instead of "What is the capital of Belgium?"
You could search "Capital Belgium"

Instead of searching "Population of Hawaii"
You could search "Population Hawaii"

The reason why I chose canada as my chosen country, is because, there are many cool things that
are located in canada, for example, Canada has the largest coastline in the world, and much more.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to travel around the world? Well, today I have, well on an online app, which is called google earth, why don't you try it our for yourself?

Tena koutou katoa,
Today I have been using this really cool app called google earth, with Whaea Tania. What the app allows you to do is fly you around the world and to different countries and cities and tells you facts about your chosen destination, google earth is similar to the app google maps, but google earth is more interactive and more world wide.

What we have been learning on google earth is to fly around to specific cities to find out what the population is. With this collected data we have been learning to copy it onto a spreadsheet and learn how to inset it to create a bar graph, here is the bar graph that I have created down below

Do you think you can get these math riddles correct? Try out my math quiz and lets see what happens?

For the passed week or so, whaea Tania has assigned room 4 to create a
math quiz on google slide presentation. On our presentation they had to
include the following:

  • Math
  • Knowledge
  • The x factor

My presentation is infographic so that it is easier to understand, what my
gif's/images is based off are soccer players because my slideshow
presentation is based off of soccer. I challenge you to create a math quiz.
Anyways I hope you enjoy my slideshow presentation.

Do you know how to ask and answer questions in te reo maori? if not, you are in the right place.

Today (13/09/18) I have created a presentation that displays different ways
of asking and answering questions in Te Reo Maori.

Here are some tips I have learned while I was in my Te Reo Lesson:
1. When answering with Kei/ko/ He aha/ always answer with kei/ko/he aha
2.When asking "he aha tenei?" make sure the object is right next to you.
3. The question 'he aha tena' it is something away from you and next to the
person whom you are speaking with
4. The question 'he aha tera' is away from both of you and the answer will
always be 'he _____ tera'

Do you do graphs? Well, today I have created a little document about what is a strip graph and what is the different between a strip graph and a pie graph

What is a strip graph?
W.A.L.T: Learn and understand what is a strip graph?

  • A strip graph is a graph that caculates the amounts of things.
  • A strip graph is similar to a pie graph but is displayed in strips.
  • A strip graph is broken into segmants which all make up to a whole.
  • Keep in mind that strip graphs a very similar to pie graphs but are just more efficient in creating.

Difference between a Strip Graph and a Pie Graph

This is a strip graph
This is a pie graph

What can I tell that is the difference?

I can tell that a strip graph is made up of rows or Strips, and I can see that the pie graph are made up of broken into pieces like a pie
