For the past few weeks we have been learning different activities that involve in elections. It teaches us to be good and healthy leaders.

We split the class into four different groups and we had to work as a team to create new, fun, different, exciting things. In the groups someone had to be a minister, leader, or minister of Maori affairs ( Deputy Leader) E.g Mister of sports, Minister of Lunches, Mister of housing Ect.

My favourite activity that we had to work on was to create a game using different materials and objects. I have created a portfolio (Profile) It tells you about me. It is somewhere in my blog. I really enjoyed it.

Down below I have written some lyrics of individual songs

  1. E tu Tuheitia

  2. Me He Manu Rere

  3. White wedding ( By Billy Idol)

  4. In the still of the night

White wedding
Hey little sister what have you done
Hey little sister who's the only one
Hey little sister who's your superman
Hey little sister who's the one you want
Hey little sister shotgun
It's a nice day to start again
It's a nice day for a white wedding
It's a nice day to start again
Hey little sister who is it you're with
Hey little sister what's your welsse wish
Hey little sister shotgun oh yeah
Hey little sister who's your superman
Hey little sister shotgun
It's a nice day to start again
It's a nice day for a white wedding
It's a nice day to start again
Pick it up
Take me back home yeah
Hey little sister what have you done
Hey little sister who's the only one (only one)
I've been away for so long (so long)
I've been away for so long (so long)
I let you go for so long
It's a nice day to start again
Come on it's a nice day for a white wedding
It's a nice day to start again, wow
There is nothing fair in this world
There is nothing safe in this world
And there's nothing sure in this world
And there's nothing pure in this world
Look for something left in this world
Start again come one
It's a nice day for a white wedding
Wow, it's a nice day to start again
It's a nice day to start again

In the still of the night

In the still of the night
I held you
Held you tight
'Cause I love
Love you so
Promise I'll never
Let you go
In the still of the night
I remember
That night in May
The stars were bright above
I'll hope and I'll pray
To keep
Your precious love
Well before the light
Hold me again
With all of your might
In the still of the night
So before the light
Hold me again
With all of your might
In the still of the night
In the still of the night

Hitching a ride
Hey mister, where you headed?
Are you in a hurry?
I need a lift to happy hour say oh no
Do you brake for distilled spirits?
I need a break as well
The well that inebriates the guilt
One, two
One, two, three, four
Cold turkey's getting stale
Tonight I'm eating crow
Fermented salmonella poison oak no
There's a drought at the fountain of youth
And I'm dehydrated
My tongue is swelling up
I say one, two
One, two, three, four
Troubled times
You know I cannot lie
I'm off the wagon and I'm hitchin' a ride
There's a drought at the fountain of youth
And now I'm dehydrated
My tongue is swelling up
I say
Troubled times
You know I cannot lie
I'm off the wagon and I'm hitchin' a ride
Hitchin' a ride (don't know where to go)
Hitchin' a ride (don't know where to go)
Hitchin' a ride (don't know where to go)
Hitchin' a ride (don't know where to go)
Hitchin' a ride (don't know where to go)
Hitchin' a ride (don't know where to go)
Hitchin' a ride (don't know where to go)
Hitchin' a ride (don't know where to go)

Fire ( Pointer sisters)

I'm ridin' in your car
You turn on the radio
You're pullin' me close
I just say no
I say I don't like it
But you know I'm a liar
'Cause when we kiss
Ooooh, fire

Late at night
You're takin' me home
You say you wanna stay
I say I wanna be alone
I say I don't love you
But you know I'm a liar
'Cause when we kiss
Ooooh, fire

You had a hold on me
Right from the start
A grip so tight
I couldn't tear it apart
My nerves all jumpin'
Actin' like a fool
Well, your kisses they burn
But my heart stays cool

Well, Romeo and Juliet
Samson and Delilah
Baby you can bet
A love they couldn't deny
My words say split
But my words they lie
'Cause when we kiss
Ooooh, fire

Ooooh, fire
Kisses like fire
Burn me up with fire
I like what you're doin' now
Fire
Touchin' me
Fire
Touchin' me
Burnin' me
Fire
Take me home

Rerenga wairua
Rerenga wairua
Tēnā whakarongo mai
Pāpaki tū ana
Ngā tai o Te Tokerau

Up above I have written some song lyrics about different songs. These songs are songs that our teacher taught us. All these songs are Maori and English. All the songs names can be featured at the top of the page. In black writing.
The sites that I used to help me with the song lyrics are: The web ( Google) and Youtube
What I found challenging was: Trying to find the specific song lyrics because there are many varieties of songs surfing on the net.
What I found easy was: Writing the Maori songs because majority of them I already know them.
Next time I will work on: A better way to present my work.

Is sports more important than music? To me it is. If you want to know more what I meant read down below.

Is sports more important than music?

So I’m hearing this question floating around the class, ‘Is sports more important than music’ In my world sports is pretty much everything in life. Why? Everyday you walk, stand, you move your arms ect, that is sports. Sports involves movement in your body. So pretty much everyone does sports. So I think sports is more important than music.

Firstly, why I strongly believe why sports is more important than music is because it keeps you captivated. Majority of people in this planet sit at home on their sofa being as bored as a scarecrow  in a corn field, well, did you know all of that could just go away in a blink of an eye. All you basically do is take one step out of your door. Enjoy life out of your box, go outside and enjoy life with friends, do something fun, something creative, see everything you do that involves more movement is sports.

The second reason why I strongly believe why sports is more important than music is because it decreases illness and obesity. Research says 95% of people in this world today is sick. That is just mind blowing, isn’t it? Go to a local gym or walk around your community, visit new people. Get out and going, you never know what may happen. You could lose so much weight and your sickness could probably go lower than your expectations.

Surely you should know why sports is more important than music now, if not here is another reason why sports is more important. Sports can lead you to scholarships and new career paths. Sports can lead to great success. A scholarship isn’t an everyday object, it is a one of a kind thing. It can only be found from a person that has good leadership. So by participating in sports, all of the training pays off in a very sterling way.

To sum up I think sports is more important than music because it keeps you captivated, it decreases illness and obesity, Sports can lead you to scholarships and new career paths. So to remind you, like what I said at the start,  sports is pretty much everything in life.

Should We Have A Gala Day Every Year? I think that we should. To know more read my story down below.

Should We Have A Gala Day Every Year?

I strongly believe that we should have a gala every year. Why? Because without a gala you won’t get any money. And money is pretty much everything, resolving friends and family. It sets a challenge for people to sell an amount of things. On a gala you can sell things like, hand made creations, food, clothing, antiques and more.

Why I think we should have a gala every year is because it can make good money. How? By selling things individually or in a bunch can make very good money. It is very easy to sell things but you need to know peoples taste of things. Not literally, but you have to know what they like in things. For example sports, games, technology and more. Isn’t that so simple? On one hand it is good money and on the other hand you have to know if your item is going to sell.

The second reason why I strongly believe why we should have a gala every year is because you have a fun time. At gala’s it could be hard to find things that you like but to increase your time of fun enjoy times with your family and friends. Many gala’s involves cool and amazing stuff but you can’t find the right place. So instead of walking around and being a sloppy, bored person enjoy times with friends and family. Added to this you can meet new people and friends or you could meet up with your everyday friends. At least you won’t be sitting at the gala like a bored potato on a chair.

My final reason why I strongly believe why we should have a gala every year is because it can fundraise for different and fun events. You could fundraise for going on a school trip to a far and distant location. Or because you need more money to fundraise for the school more. Isn’t that spectacular. Such little creations can be sold for great money. Added to this it is a great time to unite with good family and friends across the community or town or maybe even the country. Nah I’m just exaggerating it for you. But doing a fundraiser can increase your money from low expectations to infinity.

In summary I think that we should have a gala because it is the best way to increase your time with loved ones, you will be able to sell good money, and you get to fundraise for far and distant events and trips. And keep in mind that having a
Gala you can get money and money can buy pretty much everything.
