Has anything really bad happened to your feet before? well look no further, I have written a story about the reasons why we should wear shoes.

  1. To wear shoes or not to wear shoes… That is the question.
Should wear or not wear shoes.
Firstly, If you ask me if I wanted to wear shoes I would go with a straight answer of yes. Do you know why it is important to wear shoes? Because it can prevent your feet from injuries, it can prevent your feet from germs, it can give you good grip to the surface, and shoes provide support for your feet.

They Can Prevent You From Getting Germs
Secondly, I know you’re probably sitting there like “ I don’t need to listen to that” well maybe you do have to listen because i’m just giving you a tip that you should wear shoes wherever you go, because there a germs and bacteria in the ground. There are some people that have infected feet because they have no shoes. Isn’t that a tragedy. I would like to make a stop to that, by letting people know that wearing shoes is your best option.

You Can Grip On Stuff Easier
Thirdly, Depending on where you are or what shoes you are wearing, they can provide you with a better grip on things. If you are taking a little walk, wearing shoes can help you grip onto rocks or difficult terrain It is much easier. There are several different shoe types for different activities and things, and it is always clever to buy them to keep your feet and yourself safe.

It Can Prevent You From Getting Injuries
Fourthly, If you have a foot infection or something is wrong with your feet. Everything you need is two shoes. Shoes with a nice cushion on the bottom is the best type of shoes to go for, It can support your feet while you’re walking, it can decrease your infection or condition, and your feet can stay nice and Healthy. If you want to go barefoot, the best place to go is home, because you know what is on the ground.

In conclusion All of this evidence points to the fact that we should always wear shoes wherever you may go. I hope that you have heard enough because I think you don't want these things to happen to you. We'll, always be aware of your surroundings and always wear shoes, because you never know what will happen. I am Heaven Ngakuru, and thank you for listening to my speech.

W.A.L.T: Persuade an audience, using research information/reasons to support the argument.

What I found hard was: Trying to gather all of the information from different websites.

What I found easy was: How to make all of those facts come together and create one big story.

Hello friends, to day I have made a slideshow about what we are doing in te ataarangi, if you want more information click down below.

This is a slide show, it talks about the color of a path and the color of the house, we made the path and houses out of these blocks called rods. If you go into the slide show you will find a video and an image that we took during our te ataarangi.

W.A.L.T Describe the path to where you are going using the korero Koheng nga ara mai i te ki te...and answering with ko.... te ara mai i te ki te.

Enjoy

We are Half way there.

This is a manu auti that I have created. It was pretty
challenging to make but I like hard things so I
can improve on it next time.
We are half way finished, all we need to do is finish the
top of the manu auti and cover it with raupo.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading and leave your guys comments
below if you want me to improve on some stuff.

W.A.L.T teach our audience on how to create a story in Te reo Maori.
My story is located on top on my WALT, it's not much but it's something.

This is my book review about a book call Te Hokowhitu-a-Tū

Te Hokowhitu-a-Tū

This book means to me about Maori people sining up to fight in war to defend our country. It talks about when and what happened on that day of war against other countries. They sent over eight thousand people on a troop ship over sea. People outside of the ship were shouting out to them good luck or farewell.  A war cry went out: “E te iwi, whītiki! Whiti! Whiti e!” (“O people, prepare yourselves for battle! Spring up! Spring up!”) In those days, most Maori lived in rural villages near their marae. So the four Maori members of parliament helped to spread this war cry. Even though many Maori wanted to join up, only a few did. This quickly changed when the government said it would include a special group of soldiers called the Maori Contingent. The Maori Contingent became known as Te Hokowhitu-a-Tū. In February 1915, after training in Auckland, the soldiers were fare welled. their whānau kept on saying“Haere e tama ma,” Then, in July 1915, the men were sent to Gallipoli. The British high command was uncomfortable with the idea of native people fighting alongside Europeans. So at first, the Māori soldiers were kept busy digging trenches and building supply depots. But these men had joined the army to fight - but then when heaps of people died, it was then their chance to fight.
